The basic androgenetic alopecia definition is that it is a common hair loss problem in both men and women. The only difference is in the pattern of hair loss.
In layman’s language the disease is called pattern baldness. It is also called male pattern baldness in males and female pattern baldness in females.
You know the androgenetic alopecia causes?
The root of the problem is androgen, i.e. any natural or synthetic compound influencing and managing the masculine characteristics in vertebrates. It binds with androgen receptors, the intracellular steroid receptors. The androgen receptor specifically binds testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) on the cell surface. Now the androgens are able to influence the growth of cells and can therefore influence the hair growth.

Thanks for giving the information in the blog. Healthy and soft hair is desired by all male. But it create problem when there is hair loss. It is very good forum for the information for causes of Male Hair Loss.
My friend had problem. He was smoking a lot and than he quit and was under lots of pressure and stress and his hair started falling off in patches. Doctor said it is alopecia ... my friend continued to smoke cigaretes and now his hair started to grow back .. I am not saying it is ok to smoke but I think if you feel under stress try to get out of it asap.
